I decided a blog post about the top spots for a prenatal massage Charlotte and Lake Norman might come in pretty handy for the mama’s out there! I am pretty picky when it comes to where I get a massage. If I’m going to pay for relaxation, I want the whole experience. It’s hard to find around here. There aren’t a ton of “spa-like” massage places. I can’t personally vouch for the ambience of every place on this list, because I used my amazing group of friends and clients to help make the list, so I know they’re all an amazing massage.
Table of Contents
Prenatal Massage Lake Norman
Ahlara International– Mooresville
I was pleasantly surprised by Ahlara when I went for my prenatal massage. Not only does it have a great vibe, but it’s really a whole establishment of wellness- spa, boutique and yoga studio. I loved it so much, I went back for a postnatal massage and was blown away by the knowledge shared by my masseuse in regards to the tension in my body from nursing, etc.
Advanced Healing Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork– Mooresville
My girlfriend used Amy at Advanced Healing and loved her. Services are provided onsite at Advanced Spinal Fitness in Mooresville, NC. She offers various types of massage as well as ear candling, cupping and kinesio tapping. They also offer pelvic floor therapy and I went to Advanced Spinal Fitness to try and flip my breech baby- it didn’t work, but I loved everyone there!
Amy Hamilton Massage– Cornelius
Amy Hamilton was recommended by a couple of moms. I have not personally visited her studio, but if I was ever to be pregnant again, I would for sure check this one out! I love that it’s a space for women only and you can fully customize each experience, down to the type of music played during your massage.
Rock Barn Spa– Conover
I feel like if you live in the Lake Norman or Charlotte area, you’ve heard of Rock Barn Spa. It’s the most recommended spa in the area- because it is a real spa experience- pools, hot tubs, plush robes and complimentary snacks. So if you’re looking for that- this just might be your spot.
Prenatal Massage Charlotte
Mood House– Charlotte
I am obsessed with Mood House. I actually asked their owner if they would pretty pretty please open a location in Lake Norman. In case you haven’t noticed, Charlotte tends to get all of the cool and hip stuff around here. TBD on whether that will come to fruition, but it’s a super modern, membership only spa and sauna studio that has been voted best massage in Charlotte by multiple sources. They have locations in Dilworth and Oakhurst.
Blume Well– Charlotte
Another top hitter for suggested spots for a prenatal massage in Charlotte. Blume Well is a boutique massage studio dedicated to prenatal and postnatal wellness. In addition to pre and postnatal massage they also offer labor inducing massage and yoga.
Head Spa Sanctuary– Charlotte
Ok, this place doesn’t have a full body massage experience, but I can vouch for the ambience. They have a “Mama 2 Be” experience that includes multiple options and will allow for a head/shoulder or foot/leg massage. I know as pregnant people, we are usually having ailing backs or pelvises, but for those of us that are good with an upper or lower body massage, this might be the spot.
I hope that you find a place you love in our list of top spots for a prenatal massage in Charlotte and Lake Norman! If you try one out and love it, please let us know! It’s always nice to know this information is put to good use!
