This week’s theme for P52 was “Red”. I’ll be honest, I just ran around my house 15 minutes ago looking for something red to photograph. I took a few pictures of Evie’s toys, but this image was the most telling.
YES. That is a Christmas decoration still out in the Winchester residence. It is vase filler on the landing of our stairs that I just keep walking by and think to myself that I really need to change it out. The problem, though, is that I DON’T CARE! Luckily, my husband doesn’t either. I don’t feel like my house has ever been in so much disarray. We’ve determined that it’s because we are in a rental. Now, I must put a disclaimer here: we do not abuse the house by any means, we just don’t care to keep it tidy and perfect looking, because it’s not ours, and because it’s frustratingly unorganized.
It’s just horrible, nothing has a place and everything is haphazardly thrown wherever it fits. It’s driving me CRAZY! We’ve been in the house for going on four months and still have two or three months to go. I can’t wait to be in a place we call our HOME and take pride in. Renting, knowing it’s not your long-term residence, stinks!
Anyway, here it is folks, the shameful Christmas decoration that is still standing in our residence!
