I adore this family. Have I mentioned that in any of my previous posts?! They really are the sweetest and just such a joy to work with. Mom and I were due about a month apart, and I was so thankful I was still able to maneuver around enough to capture this special time with their newest little addition!
Our newborn sessions are designed to be relaxed and as easy as possible, considering a newborn is involved 🙂 We take our time to let the little ones feed, get clean and snuggle. It’s especially important to be patient when there are other little siblings involved as well. Big brother was such a good little helper and right when I arrived showed me his train set and got me playing while mom was finishing up her make-up with Lovely By Lindsey.
We started the session off with some family shots and then we let the session flow from there- we catch big brother when he’s into getting his picture taken, and the new little one when he’s sleeping, and mom and dad in between feedings and diaper changes!
Here are some of my favorites from their session:
LOVE this shot! And love their headboard. Mom has amazing taste and pre-mommyhood was an Interior Designer. For inquiring minds (like mine) it’s from West Elm 🙂
Baby boy was WIDE awake for most of his session. So alert and interested in the camera!
After some snuggles from Grandma and lots to eat, he finally decided to shut his eyes. I think we totally tired him out because he was OUT for the rest of his session!
How amazing is this rug?! Also a West Elm purchase by mom. But mostly, I just love this shot in general. The lines are amazing and the baby boy is so handsome!
This was while Mom was grabbing some nourishment and feeding big brother. Dad was on baby/get him to sleep duty!
