This six-month studio session could only be sweeter because this precious little one is my adorable niece Coco. I loved having them in the studio, and I can’t believe how much this beautiful baby girl has grown in six short months.

The six-month studio session is one of my favorite photography milestones because these precious babes are starting to show their little personalities. Most of them are beginning to sit up on their own and move confidently from where you put them.

It’s such a treat seeing them learn more independence and getting to see them show off their new tricks. My studio in Davidson, NC, is the perfect environment for them to test their skills while we document the memories.

Baby Coco

Coco is quite possibly the last baby of the family, so it was really special getting to document these moments for her parents. We all want to soak up every moment, and we are so lucky they live so close to us. I love that we were able to create these precious portraits of her on a random Summer afternoon. I even talked my sister-in-law into some last-minute photos after picking out the most beautiful dress from my client wardrobe.

As a mom of three, I know just how important it is to be sure you make the time to have portraits of yourself, too. I know you’re usually behind the camera, keeping the memories safe. It’s just as meaningful to be sure you’re in the shot! One day these babies will be grown, and they will want to see you existing in photos throughout their lives. Plus, we mom’s all deserve an extra bit of pampering now and then.
