As you may know it’s been a hot minute since I have needed to step inside a Charlotte baby store. However, seeing as many of my clients are still very much in the baby and little-kid phase, I thought it would be helpful to compile a list of the best stores around. I went to the real experts, the mom’s that follow me on instagram and my clients. Below were the top stores mentioned; in no particular order.

Airlie Baby- Huntersville, NC

This store used to be located in Mooresville and I visited it a handful of times when Beckham, my youngest, was a baby. However, I recently came across it in Birkdale Village and OH MY GOSH. It is the most darling place I have ever laid eyes on. The aesthetic is absolutely stunning, the goodies inside are amazing, and the location is fabulous. I always love a good “destination” place ie: you can do more than one thing while there. If you’ve ever been to Birkdale Village, you know there is so much for you to do, and the kids too! They carry newborn-5T and are open 7 days a week.

Cela Baby– Cornelius, NC

If you’re looking for a true southern vibe with a more classic and traditional look, we here on the lake know to head to Cela Baby. They carry a lot of smocked, pima, modal, organic and most importantly…adorable clothing for newborn through four years of age. They also offer complimentary gift wrapping and have an online gift registry for new parents. They are open Monday- Saturday.

Fancy Pants– Charlotte, NC

If you happen to live closer to uptown, Fancy Pants was the most recommended Charlotte baby store to go for your john-johns and a variety of upscale southern kids clothing. They offer a large variety of sizes, carrying newborn to teen sizes, as well as have an extensive boys section, which is such a treat seeing as boys can be so hard to shop for. They carry over 100 American and European designers and are open Monday- Saturday.

Plums & Pumpkins– Denver, NC

What started during the pandemic, as a company making minky blankets, has turned into Denver’s most adorable new baby store. I have not had the opportunity to visit yet, but it feels like it has a vibe very similar to Airlie Baby, just located on the other side of the lake! Plums and Pumpkins focuses on sustainability with a lot of eco-friendly and non-toxic products. It is also family-owned, which I love, and is open Tuesday- Saturday.

Coco Leto– Charlotte, NC

I’m not going to lie. Instagram fed me an add with some of their clothes and I stopped to make sure they didn’t come in my size. Quite possibly thee most chic and trendy Charlotte baby store I’ve seen, or “Petit Clothier”, as they call it. They offer sizes from newborn to teens. They also have some other amazing services, including being able to book their “patch bar” (think Stoney Clover), a customized capsule that they’ll curate for your kiddo, and a gift registry. They offer shipping and are open Monday-Saturday.

Shower Me With Love– Charlotte, NC

Started by new parents, dedicated to making a beautiful new space for their first baby, Shower Me With Love, quite literally covers all of your bases when it comes to what you may need for baby. They have clothing, nursery furniture and decor, baby gear, essentials and toys and gifts. They also offer clothing options up to size 16 for teens and are open seven days a week.
